Remember, from Dawn to Dusk our Fathers said us to keep things in place with a head slap. What would happen if the whole country failed to work on the principle? Will you be ready for the headcount or make it obey. Containers are an important element in importing and exporting. The container does the job fine and assists seamless transports.
A sharp drop in import volumes compared to exports has led to the storage of containers for exports from India resulting in soaring rates for "empties" in the last three months. The freight rates have been soared exponentially due to the logistical issue. Exporters stuff their cargo to accommodate huge volumes in a single container instead of spending on bringing the containers back.
India plans to bring back 4 lakh containers where the demand is 70,000 per month for exporters. Usually, importers are permitted a fortnight to return the containers exchanging goods. Early in September, the trade was on the positive side because containers were piled up in-land, and imports were acuted due to virus restriction and Indo-China dispute.
